I would like to express my New Year wishes to and for you.
I wish you will fall in love (again) with yourself first and then let others fall in love with you.
During the holidays you have the impression you need to give to others presents they actually don’t really need. You give something, just because… Why not give a gift of real value? The gift of self-love and self-awareness… I want to encourage you to embrace your own personality. Leverage your differences, be proud of your quirks and unusual traits, accept your flaws and be unapologetically yourself. And when you love yourself again, you will without a doubt attract and fascinate like-minded people more easily.
I wish you will be the difference that makes the difference.
Being better doesn’t do the trick anymore. It is exhausting because there will always be someone who is better than you. It is all about being different. Strengths don’t matter that much anymore, differences do. And that is why it is important to know what makes you unique, because that’s the reason why others will fall in love with you.
With your differences you can help and serve others and bring meaning and deliver value to the lives of other people, just by being yourself. It will allow you to really make a difference in the world. Not just for yourself, but for the sake of everybody else.
I wish you will discover the power of sharing stories.
A lot of stories will be shared across the festive table: anecdotes, jokes, memories “you remember that time when we…”,… It creates an instant connection between people. Stories are powerful, (en)rich(ing), inspiring,… We need to take time to listen to each other’s story and motivate and stimulate each other. Your story counts and should be heard…
But mostly, I wish there will be peace in the world… You hear about it in yet another Christmas carol. But unfortunately it is more topical than ever. Let us be kind to each other, let humanity rule, let love trump war,…
